  • Participants:

    Alisa, Dave, Morgan, and Rachel (Me).

  • We went to one of the oldest buildings on campus, built before the 1900s, to see how many ghosts we could find. First, we decided to get as close to the bell tower as we could. This is because there is a story and a particular haunting centered around the bell tower. Supposedly, there was once an interracial couple who decided to jump from the bell tower to their deaths because everyone told them they couldn't be together. However, the man didn't jump and the woman did. The woman is said to still haunt the bell tower. There have been a few men who have found themselves up in the bell tower without remembering how they got there. The thing is, only one person has the key, and no one else can get through the door into the belltower. (trust us, we tried to even get through the door to the 4th floor and we couldn't. It was locked. Why does the college go through so much trouble to prevent us from going up there?) Therefore, it is said that the woman lures men up there to make them jump because she is infuriated that her man didn't jump with her. We decided to see if she really existed and if she would talk to us. What we got was pretty interesting.
